Monday morning, we were up and headed to what is possibly my new favorite character breakfast at Disney World. We had breakfast at the Garden Grill in Epcot. The meal features Farmer Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. We had been to Garden Grill in the past for dinner but breakfast is a relatively new addition and this was our first time trying it. Garden Grill is in the Land pavilion and the restaurant slowly rotates, giving you a view of several scenes in the Living with the Land ride, during your meal. It is a smaller restaurant which means better and longer character interactions (at least in my opinion).
First up, we were visited by Dale. He was SO cute and spent a lot of time at our table playing with MacKenzie.
As Dale was leaving, MacKenzie bumped her chin on the table, so he came back to check on her and love on her.
Next up was Farmer Mickey.
Then Pluto came by.
While we were visiting with Pluto, Chip snuck up behind our table.
As we were finishing our meal, Dale came back for another visit and some "chair-sledding" around our table. We asked him if he wanted to go spend the day in Epcot with us but MacKenzie said that sounded fun bht he needed to stay there so other people could visit with him.
As you can see from the background of the pictures, the restaurant was not busy at all...the food was quite good and we will definitely be going back for breakfast again!
After breakfast, we had fastpasses for Test Track. I thought MacKenzie was tall enough to ride but they insisted upon checking her height and she barely missed it. I think you *might* have been able to slide a piece of paper between the top of her head and the height marker, but they wouldn't let her ride. So, we took advantage of Disney's Rider Swap program so that everyone could go on Test Track. Grumps and I went first and then MiMi and I rode.
After Test Track, we did a little shopping...MacKenzie loves trying on all the different hats!!!
Next we used our fastpasses for the Seas with Nemo and Spaceship Earth. Then we headed back to Mexico...MiMi and MacKenzie went on the ride while Grumps and I stood in line to get margaritas. It was National Margarita Day!
We went back to the room for our afternoon rest. I think everyone except MiMi took a nap! MiMi headed back to Epcot before the rest of us to do a little more shopping. Grumps, MacKenzie and I joined her later for dinner at Via Napoli in Italy. We enjoyed our meal...we stopped for another boat ride (or 2) in Mexico before heading out for the night.
When we got back to the Contemporary, we had to make a stop for dessert - Mickey Ice Cream bars, of course!!!
Then it was time for bed - we had a very busy day planned for our last full day at Disney on Tuesday!
