Christmas Day

Christmas morning, MiMi came over bright & early so that she could be there when MacKenzie got up to see what Santa brought her.  At first MacKenzie wasn't so sure...

Then she spotted Hungry Hungry Hippos, which was the only thing she asked Santa for this year, and the excitement began...

After checking out all of her Santa gifts, MacKenzie helped me open my stocking and we had pancakes and bacon for breakfast.

The rest of the day was spent opening presents from Mommy, playing with all her new stuff and hanging out in our pjs.  It was a yucky, rainy Christmas (there was flooding not far from our house), so it was nice to be able to spend it at home with my girl.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve enjoying dinner and opening presents with MiMi & Grumps and Jeff, Meghan and Marcus at MiMi & Grumps's house.  Before Jeff's family got there, we took some pictures and had a little dance party.

After eating dinner, we opened presents.  We all got a lot of really great gifts and enjoyed the evening together.

After finishing at MiMi & Grumps's, we took a few family selfies before MacKenzie and I headed home to get ready for Santa's arrival...

We put out cookies and milk on the kitchen table so that Smokey (the dog) wouldn't eat them.

Then MacKenzie hung her stocking

And off to bed she went so that Santa could come visit.
