TWO!!!

My sweet girl is TWO years old today!  My how time flies!  This seems like it was just yesterday...

At two years old, MacKenzie weighs about 28 lbs and is about 34 inches tall.  She is wearing 2T clothes.

MacKenzie talks all the time and can say just about anything.  Sometimes, it is like having a parrot in the house because she will repeat anything and everything we say!  She likes to say "I'm cute" and then proceed to name everyone she can think of and say they are cute..."Mommy cute...MiMi cute...Grumps cute...and on and on".  She will tell you that she is two when asked how old she is.  MacKenzie also knows her colors, some shapes and can identify some numbers and letters.

She loves to dance and listen to music.  MacKenzie also loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sheriff Callie and other Disney Junior shows.  She also likes to look at books and color.

MacKenzie likes to eat all kinds of stuff...but bacon remains one of her favorite foods.  Lately, she has also decided that she likes chocolate and will ask for it.

She is becoming a very independent little girl and wants to do things herself instead of having someone help her.  She can also be very dramatic when she doesn't get something she wants or if I don't get it to her fast enough.  When we were taking our monthly pictures, she was being a little dramatic and laying on Minnie Mouse, which made me think of her 1 and 2 month pictures with Minnie.  Wow!  What a big change...

MacKenzie's 2nd Birthday Party

On Saturday, we celebrated MacKenzie's 2nd birthday with a Snow White themed party.  I had a blast getting her dressed up and taking pictures for the invitations.

I went all-out with the decorations for the party, of course.  Everything was red, yellow & blue, Snow White and the Dwarfs and apples.  My friend Chris made some awesome wooden apples to line the front sidewalk and Sissy made a beautiful Snow White wreath.

We had some apple themed snacks to eat, along with Jello "Gems", apple juice and "poison" apple juice (apple sangria) to drink, a make your own caramel apple bar and of course, cake.

Heather from A Slice at a Time made MacKenzie's birthday cake again this year and once again, she did an incredible job.  Not only was the cake amazing to look at, it also tasted amazing!  MacKenzie loved the cake and kept saying "cake beautiful" when she looked at it.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" played on the tv throughout the party.  The kids also got to dig in the "Dwarfs Mine" for treasure and pop apple balloons for treats.  They had fun with the games.

MacKenzie got some great gifts from her friends that she has already been enjoying but I think her favorite part was just having all of her friends at her house to play.  She had a great time.

And a BIG "Thank You" to MiMi and Sissy for helping me with the party - I couldn't have done it without you!!!

First Dance Class

MacKenzie had her first dance class last night!  She is taking a 30 min. class for 2 year olds at Soles Dance Center that includes ballet, tumbling and creative movement.

She looked SO cute in her ballet outfit!

There are 7 little girls in her class.  Her teacher is Miss Ashley and Miss Maria is the teaching assistant.  Before class started, MacKenzie has a blast running around the classroom with the other girls

She didn't cry when I left the room and her teachers said she did great!  I hope she loves dancing as much as I did!

Fox Family Reunion

Saturday, MacKenzie and I joined MiMi on a quick trip to Tennessee for the Fox Family Reunion (Granddaddy's family).  The reunion was held at Fox Toyota and MacKenzie had a great time playing in the cars in the showroom!  She particularly enjoyed "driving" Dana and her 3rd cousin (I think) Lexie.

There were lots of Fox cousins there and lots of little girls for MacKenzie to play with.  We had a great time seeing everyone!
