Disney Day 6

Tuesday morning, we got up and finished packing up our stuff before bell services came to our room.  We rode up to the front of Old Key West where Ashley, Matt & Will checked their luggage with the Resort Airline Check-In (an awesome service most Disney resorts offer) and we squared everything away for our bags to be transferred to Pop Century.  Then we hopped on a bus to Magic Kingdom.  MiMi, MacKenzie & I headed over to the Polynesian for breakfast at one of our favorite spots -Kona Cafe - while Ashley, Matt & Will went on to the Magic Kingdom to get in a last ride on some of Will's favorites.
We met up in Adventureland for a ride on the Jungle Cruise.  MacKenzie enjoyed it much more this time than she did on our last trip.

Then we headed over to Fantasyland to get in a few more rides before Ashley, Matt & Will had to head to the airport.  We rode Winnie the Pooh and the Teacups.  Then Matt & Ashley kindly offered to watch MacKenzie so MiMi & I could ride the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

We sadly said our goodbyes and our friends were off to catch the Magical Express to the airport.  It was starting to rain at this point, so we ducked into Pinocchio's Village Haus for a snack and were lucky enough to get a table overlooking It's A Small World.  MacKenzie LOVED watching the boats go by & waving at everyone.

It was still raining to we headed to the bus stop to catch a bus to Pop Century, our home for what we thought was just going to be for the night.  As we were headed to Pop, we learned of the bad winter weather heading for Huntsville on Wednesday.  When we got to Pop, we were able to go directly to our room, thanks to a new service Disney offers - if you check-in online before your trip, they will text you when your room is ready and provide your room number, allowing you to skip the check-in desk all together.  After we got settled into our room, we checked out the weather forecast at home, where it looked like the worst of the winter storm would be hitting around the time our flight was due in.  I called the airline and they were able to change our flight to Thursday and Pop Century had the availability for us to extend our stay one more night...so we got a bonus day at Disney!

After getting all of our travel arrangements changed and taking a little rest, we were off to Epcot for dinner at a new-to-us location - Nine Dragons, the table service restaurant in China.  We had a little time to spare before dinner, so we stopped in Mexico for a ride on the Three Caballeros ride (MacKenzie's new favorite).

Dinner was ok - I personally, prefer PF Changs.  MacKenzie did enjoy her fried rice.  Nine Dragons is on our "been there / done that" list...but we do like to try new places from time to time.  After dinner, we stopped back by for a couple more trips through Mexico and a margarita for MiMi & Mommy.  Then we headed back to Pop Century and got ready for bed...excited to sleep in and have another day in Disney on Wednesday.
