Disney Day 5

Monday morning, we were up bright and early and off to the Magic Kingdom for an early breakfast with Winnie the Pooh & friends at Crystal Palace.  I enjoy scheduling breakfast before the park opens because you can get photos with practically no one in them and after breakfast, you can usually get in several rides before the parks start to get crowded and wait times increase.

After breakfast, we spent the morning in Fantasyland & Tomorrowland where we rode several rides including Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, the Tomorrowland Speedway, the People Mover, Goofy's Barnstormer, Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain.

MacKenzie also enjoyed her first Mickey ice cream bar while Will & his parents met Buzz Lightyear.

By this point, MacKenzie was ready for her afternoon rest, so MiMi, MacKenzie & I headed in for our afternoon rest.  After we rested, we headed  back out to meet Ashley, Matt and Will for dinner at Chef Mickeys.

After dinner, we were off for an new-to-us Disney experience - the Pirates and Pals Fireworks voyage.  We checked in near the ballrooms in the Contemporary and while we waited, the kids colored and got into the pirate spirit.

Once we headed into the ballroom, we were treated to lots of snacks including popcorn, pretzels and cotton candy to name a few.  Then Captain Hook & Mr. Smee joined the party and we were given the opportunity to have our picture made with them.

Then we followed our pirate captain out to the boat dock behind the Contemporary to board our ship to sail into the Seven Seas Lagoon.  While we rode around the lagoon, our "Captain" kept us entertained with songs and cheesy jokes.

Finally our boat stopped and it was time for Wishes - the Magic Kingdom fireworks show.  Watching Wishes from a boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon provides an unique perspective of the fireworks.  It was very pretty to see the fireworks reflect off the water.  I was surprised how well we could see Tinkerbell fly down from Cinderella's Castle from that far away.

After Wishes, our boat returned to the Contemporary, where we were greeted by a "surprise" guest - Peter Pan!  Peter Pan was available for photos...but MacKenzie wasn't too sure she wanted to meet him.  We got our picture made anyway.

At this point, it had been a long day, so we walked back over to Magic Kingdom to catch a bus back to our resort.  When we got back, we had to start packing up our things because MiMi, MacKenzie & I were moving to Pop Century on Tuesday and Matt, Ashley & Will were heading home.
