Disney Days 8 & 9

Tuesday was our last full day at Disney World.  MiMi, MacKenzie and I had breakfast at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian before heading to the Magic Kingdom.  They are doing a lot of renovations at the Polynesian and MacKenzie loved all the characters on the walls covering the construction areas.

When we got to the Magic Kingdom, we ran into the Fairy Godmother with no line, so of course we had to have our picture made with her.

We had to ride some of our favorites from the week - Winnie the Pooh, Small World and Dumbo.

Then we met Grumps at the Tomorrowland Speedway, but had some time to kill before our fastpass time so we headed over to Buzz Lightyear.  MacKenzie enjoyed riding it with MiMi and Grumps.

Then it was time to ride the race cars - something MacKenzie had been waiting to do with Grumps all week.

Grumps and MacKenzie went back to the room to rest while MiMi and I rode Space Mountain and did a little shopping.

After rest time, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom for the last time on this trip to ride some favorite rides, eat dinner and go to the Wishes Dessert Party.

Here is MacKenzie when she saw Tinkerbell fly from Cinderella's Castle at the beginning of Wishes.  Her reaction was so sweet.  She was in awe and so excited to see Tinkerbell fly!

After Wishes we headed in to finish packing and head to bed.  We had planned to go to the Magic Kingdom on Wednesday morning before catching the Magical Express  to the airport, but it was rainy and yucky out so we decided to sleep in.  We checked in our luggage, said goodbye to "Mickey's Castle" and took a final ride on the monorail before heading to the airport.

We are looking forward to our next trip to Disney World in February when I am going to run the Disney Princess Half Marathon.  We're already counting down the days!
