MacKenzie has transitioned from eating baby food to eating "table" food and loves just about everything we give her. Green beans are one of her favorite things to eat. She also loves waffles, pancakes, sweet potatoes, grilled cheese sandwiches and French fries. Of course, I don't think there is much of anything we have given her that she hasn't liked. She is a really good eater and likes to feed herself.
She is "talking" more & more these days. She says "Ma-Ma" (which usually means either Mama or MiMi depending on who is closet), "Ba-ba" for her bottle, "ki-cat" (kitty cat), what sounds like duck or dog, and "moo" for a cow.
She still loves her bath and playing in the water. Some nights, we let her play in the tub until she is ready to get out and that has been as long as 20 minutes. She also loves Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Marie (her stuffed cat), and most any stuffed animal. She is so funny - a lot of the times, she will cuddle a stuffed animal & pretend like she is going to go to sleep.
Lately, she has been getting brave and will let go of things when she is standing on her own. I keep half-way expecting her to take a step any day, but am in NO hurry for her to start walking. She has also learned to climb up the steps, but hasn't figured out how to get back down yet.
MacKenzie is also getting better about being around people she doesn't know and warming up to people quicker. Last weekend, she wanted to go to YiaYia (Helena) twice and stayed with her for a while. She also likes her Uncle Jeff & Aunt Meghan a lot - actually she LOVES playing with Meghan & thinks she is so funny. She also likes to play with Granddaddy. And of course, she loves her MiMi and Grumps.
