15 Months Old

MacKenzie is 15 months old today!  Wow how time flies!  My baby isn't a baby anymore - she is becoming a little girl.  She is so much fun right now & I am really enjoying this stage of her life.
She weighs 25 lbs and is about 32 inches long.  Wednesday is her 15 month check up with Dr. Patz, so we will get the "official" stats then.  I think she has hit a bit of a growth spurt because she is sleeping a lot and wants to eat all the time!
MacKenzie is walking everywhere - no more crawling for this girl!  She loves to walk around & explore the house.  She also likes to climb the stairs - needless to say this Momma and MiMi get lots of exercise following her around!

One of her favorite things to do is to throw her plastic balls.  She loves to throw them to Grumps!  Grumps has really become her playmate lately and she likes to give him everything she can find to hold for her.  She also likes to play with his Blackberry.  MacKenzie also loves to "read" her books, Winnie the Pooh, Mickey & Minnie (and friends), telephones, and Little People.

MacKenzie still likes to eat and I really don't think there is anything she doesn't like.  Recently, we have discovered that she likes Jello tapioca pudding.  She loves anything she can feed herself and is starting to want to use a spoon to feed herself.  Sometimes she is a mess after she eats, but that's ok with me!
She no longer takes a bottle, even at bedtime and continues to be a really good sleeper.  It is very rare for her to not sleep all night and she usually sleeps 10 - 12 hours at night.  She also usually takes a 2 - 3 hour nap during the day.  Of course, when she is awake, she seems to be constantly on the go - I would sleep good too if I moved as much as she does.
Her vocabulary is increasing every day.  She says ball and shoe now.  And the other day, it sounded like she said "right back".  She can also identify all of the characters from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto & Goofy) and most of the characters from Winnie the Pooh (Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore & Piglet).  MacKenzie also likes to look at pictures and point people out.

Happy 15 Month Day Sweet Girl!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our Thanksgiving is a little different this year.  MacKenzie is with her Daddy today, so my sweet Grandmother agreed to have Thanksgiving tomorrow (Friday) so that MacKenzie & I could be there.  Today, I will be celebrating with my brother, Dad, sister-in-law and her family.  Thanks to Jeff & Meghan for including us!

I am SO thankful for my family and friends this year.  It has not been an easy year for me and the love & support I have received have been a huge help to me.  But I am most thankful for this sweet girl...she is my greatest blessing!

Playing in the Leaves

Monday was a holiday for us - Thank you Veterans for your service!  MacKenzie & I took advantage of the day off and mostly spent the day being lazy.  She took a 3 hour nap Monday!!!  After her nap, we did go over to play in the leaves with Will and Ashley.  I think both of the kids had a good time although MacKenzie wasn't too sure about getting in the leaf pile.

Weekend In Tennessee

Friday, we all loaded up and headed to Grandmother & Grandaddy's house in Tennessee.  MacKenzie rode with MiMi & Grumps because they could leave earlier.  Meghan rode with me after we both got off work Friday afternoon.
Saturday, we got up early to get ready for the game.  We dropped MacKenzie off at the Bowin's house and headed to campus. Even though UT lost, I had fun at the game sitting with Meghan, Grandmother, & Grandaddy.

MacKenzie had a good time at the Bowins.  I didn't manage to get a picture of all of the kids, but did get a few when we went to pick her up.

Sunday, we celebrated Grandmother's birthday at P.F. Chang's before heading home.

First Haircut

I finally gave in and  took MacKenzie to get her hair cut for the first time.  Really, it was just having her bangs trimmed, but I still had to take a million pictures.  We took her to Lauren at NeoMode who also does my hair and MiMi's hair.

Halloween

I'm only a week behind in posting this!  We were in Panama City for Halloween.  We didn't have Grumps carve a pumpkin this year, but I did find these cute Mickey & Minnie decorations to add to pumpkins.  MacKenzie loved them & had fun playing with her pumpkins.

That afternoon, MacKenzie got dressed up in her costume and we took a few pictures at the Marriott Legends Edge where we were staying.

Then we went by the activity center to trick or treat and visit the girls who work there.

Next, we headed to Pier Park.  Pier Park is a large outdoor shopping area right off the beach in Panama City Beach.  On Halloween, all of the stores pass out candy for trick-or-treaters.  We ment our friends Joyce and Catherine and Catherine's kids Sam, Jacqueline and Britt to trick-or-treat.  There were a lot of people there, but we had a good time!

I'm not sure who had more fun trick or treating - MacKenzie or Grumps!  After we got back that evening, MacKenzie was worn out from all the fun!
