Girl's Trip - Day 2

Friday morning, we were up bright & early to head to breakfast at the Magic Kingdom before the park opened.  I love scheduling breakfast before the park opens - you can get some great photos with very few people in them and it just seems more magical to walk down Main Street without the crowds.

 

We had breakfast at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends.

After breakfast, it was off to enjoy the Magic Kingdom.  We spent most of the morning enjoying Fantasyland.  We rode the teacups, Small World and Dumbo to name a few.

MiMi, MacKenzie & I also went over to Pete's Silly Sideshow in the circus area of Fantasyland where we met Poodle Trainer Minnie, Fortune Teller Daisy, The Great Goofini and The Amazing Donaldo.

MacKenzie and MiMi went back to the room for a rest while GiGi, Sissy, Becky & I spent a little more time in the Magic Kingdom.  We rode Thunder Mountain, the Haunted Mansion and enjoyed a Pineapple Dole Whip.  We also had a random character interaction in the middle of Frontierland where Sissy & I got to dance to "Rocky Top" with the Country Bears!

Sissy & I went over to Downtown Disney to have a drink at Bongos and then met up with the rest of the group at Hollywood Studios so that we could use our Toy Story Mania Fastpasses.

Then, it was time for dinner at the Brown Derby.

After dinner, we rode Tower of Terror and then went to Fantasmic!  MacKenzie was not interested in staying for Fantasmic, so she & I went back to the room while the rest of the group stayed to enjoy the show.

Then it was off to bed for all of us because we had another busy Disney day planned for Saturday.

Magical Girl's Trip - Day 1

I am so far behind on blogging...it is definitely time to catch up on what we've been doing.
For this year's "Girl's Trip", we decided to go to Disney World.  MiMi, MacKenzie & I were planning to go and Becky, GiGi & Sissy decided to join us to make it our annual Girl's Trip.  Thursday morning, MacKenzie, MiMi and I headed to Birmingham to catch our flight to Orlando.  MacKenzie carefully studied the safety information on the plane.

 We met Becky at the Orlando airport and boarded the Magical Express to Bay Lake Towers, our home for the next week.

After settling into our room, we hopped on a boat to Ft. Wilderness for Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

While waiting to be seated, we got to see some of our favorite Disney friends!  MacKenzie LOVED all the characters this trip and was thrilled to see them & have her picture made with them.

Once we were seated, we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet, desserts and beverages (including wine & beer).  MacKenzie enjoyed her Mickey ice cream bar.

As we finished eating, the characters came out for a dance party and photo opportunities.  MacKenzie thought Goofy was there just to dance with her!

On the boat ride back to the Contemporary & Bay Lake Towers, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

We also had to stop for MacKenzie to have her picture made with the "grass Mickey".

We headed to the room to get ready for bed.  Sissy & GiGi got in later that night and we all rested up for another fun Disney day on Friday.

MacKenzie's 3 Year Pictures

A few weeks ago, we had MacKenzie's 3 year pictures done in Knoxville.  Here are some of my favorites...

The dress she is wearing was mine & I wore it for my 3 year pictures...here is a little comparison I did.

And I just LOVED these...between set-ups, it started raining, so she was looking out the window because she was "worried about the rain".  I think they turned out beautifully!
