The train goes just a couple of miles down the track and back, which was the perfect amount of time. MacKenzie enjoyed standing at the window, watching everything outside.

Santa Train
Last Saturday, MacKenzie, MiMi and I joined our friends Ashley and Will for a trip on the Santa Train. It was a great experience! When we got to the North Alabama Railroad Museum, we had some time to kill, so the kids had a great time checking out the caboose.
Then a BIG, real train came by...MacKenzie loved standing there watching it. She was laughing and squealing the entire time.
Then, it was time to board the train. We had seats in first class, so the kiddos got a private meet-and-greet with Santa. When he walked through the car to check tickets, MacKenzie decided that she wasn't so sure about him, so we did not go meet Santa on the train. She & I stayed in our seats and enjoyed our chocolate milk and cookies. Will did go meet Santa and brought MacKenzie back her gift from him - an engineer's hat and a bandanna.

It was a great afternoon and we are so glad that Ashley and Will let us join them on the Santa Train!
