El Gato

Almost every Monday night, we get together with a group of friends for dinner and trivia at a mexican restaurant near MiMi & Grumps's house.  Our team name is El Gato.
A few months ago, MacKenzie decided that we needed team shirts with a cat (El Gato) on them, doing different things (eating, drinking, wearing sunglasses, etc).  Mitch got a friend to draw El Gato and I went to work on getting shirts made.  We were missing a few team members, but here are some pics from the El Gato shirt debut.

MacKenzie's New Cousin

My brother, Jeff and sister-in-law, Meghan welcomed a new baby girl to the world last month.  MacKenzie was so excited to meet her new cousin (or sister as she calls her).  I know these two are going to have so much fun growing up together!

Summer Fun

MacKenzie has had a lot of fun this summer...we've played in the pool, made s'mores with friends, gone on LOTS of carousel rides, and saw "Finding Dory" to name a few of the fun things we've done...

Beach, Part 2

As I mentioned in the previous post, we spent a week in June at the beach with friends and family.  We had a great time playing in the pool, the ocean and on the beach...

Beach, Part 1

I'm going to have to write about the beach in a couple of parts...mostly because I have so many cute pictures to share!!!
We spent a week in June at Gulf Shores with extended family and friends.  There were 26 of us, ranging in age from 18 months to 94...and 3 sets of twins!  MacKenzie really enjoyed the youngest set of twins, Reed & Brooks, their older brother, Blake, and of course, her cousin, Marcus.

It wouldn't be a beach trip without getting pictures of the kiddos in their matching t-shirts!!!

Just so you know, it is NOT easy to get 7 kids to all look at the camera at the same time and smile / look cute...we finally had to go with what we could get!  They were a little more cooperative for smaller group pictures...

Dance Recital

Oh my!  I'm so far behind!  June has been a really busy month with dance recital and vacation, in addition to things being kind of crazy at work for me.  I'm going to try to catch up over the next few days.
MacKenzie had her second dance recital the first weekend of June.  They danced to "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and were SO cute.  MiMi and Sissy took her to dress rehearsal for me and were able to get some good pictures of her on stage.

After recital, it was back to MiMi & Grumps's house for some post-recital presents from the family.  MacKenzie loved all her gifts from Aunt Marion, GiGi & Granddaddy, Sissy, Mommy and MiMi & Grumps.

I am looking forward to MANY more years of dance recitals for MacKenzie!!!
