Trip To Tennessee

This past weekend, we went to Tennessee to visit family and for a variety of other reasons.  Saturday, MacKenzie had her 3 year pictures made at Memories Portraits.  Then we ate dinner at Littons and spent a little time at Sissy's house, playing with everyone there.

Sunday, GiGi cooked a wonderful lunch and we had an early birthday celebration for MacKenzie.  MacKenzie got to help GiGi make her "famous" corn.

She also enjoyed having Jeff, Meghan & Marcus there, so she could play with Marcus.

After lunch, MacKenzie couldn't wait to open her presents.  She got lots of great gifts!  I also think she enjoyed having Benjamin be her present "assistant".

After opening gifts, we enjoyed cookies and birthday cake.

Tap Shoes

MacKenzie loved taking dance last year and I thought she was the cutest little ballerina.  

Since she enjoyed it so much, she will be taking dance again this year at Soles.  Her class this year will be a "combo" class where they will do ballet and tap, so we had to go buy her some tap shoes. 

She was very excited to get her new tap shoes!  She was tapping all over the shoe fitting area and told me "I like these - they're loud!".  I think she is going to be like her Mommy and Sissy and tap is going to be her favorite.

We are both looking forward to another great year of dance at Soles!  

First Day of School

MacKenzie had her first day of school at WEE on Tuesday.  She is in the 3's class this year and is really excited to be a big girl.  She already likes going to school and knows most of her classmates names and her teachers' names.  As a three, she is officially in the WEE Preschool and will go to school 3 days a week.

Yesterday, she told MiMi "I'm a camel...camels live in the desert".  They assign each class at Wee an animal and her class is the camel class.

We're looking forward to another fun year at WEE and seeing what all MacKenzie learns this year.

Early Birthday Present

Over the weekend, MacKenzie got an early birthday present from MiMi and Grumps.  She loves her new trampoline & LOVES to jump-jump-jump on it.

Wrapping Up Summer

We are heading into the last of summer...MacKenzie starts back to "school" (Mother's Morning Out) next week.  We have had LOTS of fun this summer! MacKenzie took two trips to the beach, has played with her friends and enjoyed lots of carousel rides & popsicles at Bridge Street.
